ENTERING THE SPEEDWAY

Whether it’s your first trip to Bristol Motor Speedway or you’ve been coming for years, a little planning will make race day easier and far more enjoyable. From ticketing and security checks to parking and re-entry, here’s what you need to know before the Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

Bag check and security

All bags and personal items will be inspected at the gates. Be sure you’re familiar with the Speedway’s list of approved and prohibited items, which covers everything from fan gear to food and drinks. Anything not allowed will be confiscated and discarded. In serious cases, bringing prohibited items could lead to removal from the venue or even loss of entry rights for future events.

Tickets and entry

You’ll need a valid ticket to enter the track. The easiest way to buy is online, and it only takes a few minutes. Don’t wait too long–popular ticket categories, including reserved grandstand seats and general admission, can sell out quickly. Bristol also offers some natural seating areas without assigned seats for fans who prefer a more casual option.

Parking options

High attendance at the Night Race means parking can be tight, but there are several choices: 

• On-site general parking is the most budget-friendly but fills up quickly and may require a walk from your car. Premium parking gets you closer to the gates, costs more, and is more convenient.
• Off-site or free parking options may exist in nearby public areas, but they are limited–watch for signage to avoid tickets or towing.
• Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft can drop you near the entrances and are a great choice if you’re staying in Bristol and want to skip the hassle of parking.

Parking lot opening times
For the Bass Pro Shops Night Race, Bristol Motor Speedway’s parking lots open at 12:00 PM on race day. Arriving early helps you beat the rush, get through security with less waiting, and enjoy more of the pre-race atmosphere.
